GVR PROTOCOL
The GVR protocol was created to assess specific areas of environmental and social impact of hotels and resorts based on the 17 goals of the UN's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Specifically, this facility has successfully passed the compliance assessment of the Protocol conducted by an ISO 17065-accredited third party certified by Accredia in the following areas: respect for human rights and working conditions, health and safety in the workplace, environmental impact, customer communication, sustainable procurement, sound management practices, sustainable economic development, involvement and development of the local community, and data protection and cybersecurity.

To travel to Zanzibar, an entry visa is required, which can also be obtained online. For stays planned less than 14 days from the booking date, it is recommended to apply for the visa directly at the arrival airport.
A valid passport with at least six months remaining before expiration from the date of entry is mandatory.
Additionally, starting from October 1, 2024, travelers must hold a travel insurance policy covering the length of their stay.
The insurance can be purchased exclusively from the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation at the following link https://visitzanzibar.go.tz/ .
Two main rates available on www.voihotels.com are the "Best Guaranteed Rate" and the "Non-Refundable" rate. The "Best Guaranteed Rate" provides for free cancellation for any reason up to a certain number of days before arrival based on the period of stay. Payment can be made directly at check-in. "Non-refundable", on the other hand, is a non-cancellable and non-changeable rate. Full payment for the stay is required upon confirmation, by credit card only.
You can request to make payment prior to arrival at the hotel. A link will be sent via e-mail, through which you can settle by credit card. Upon arrival at the hotel you can pay in cash or by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) enabled to international circuits, in euros, dollars or shillings. There is a fee for payment by credit card.
To change a confirmed reservation directly on our site or through the VOI Contact Center (with the exception of nonrefundable fares, which are not changeable) simply access the file directly from the site, entering your confirmation number and e-mail address. Alternatively, you can contact our booking office by e-mail at kiwengwa.booking@voihotels.com.
A city tax of $5.00 per person per night is required.
Rooms are guaranteed from 12 noon on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10 a.m. on the day of departure.
Pets are not allowed.
Under no circumstances is it possible to provide for an infant or toddler in the bed with the parents. A crib will be provided for infants (up to 2 years of age); for all children 2 years of age and older, a room with an extra bed must be provided.
A selection of gluten-free foods is available. In addition, our chefs are always available to accommodate other dietary needs and intolerances. This is required to be mentioned at the time of booking.
A beach towel is available free of charge at both the pool and the beach.
