WHAT ARE THE EVALUATION CRITERIA BY WHICH FACILITIES ARE ANALYZED?

Each resort was evaluated on these 9 aspects

RESPECT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS

It is crucial that tourism contributes to a more equitable distribution of income and enables people to obtain education, training and protection during working hours.

Occupational health and safety

Accommodation facilities must provide a safe and healthy working environment and take effective measures to prevent potential accidents, injuries or illnesses.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

Every decision and activity of the accommodation facility can have a direct or indirect impact on the environment. Therefore, it is good to take into account the effects that the products used, throughout their life cycle, may have in the decision-making process.

Sustainable sourcing

It is important that more and more solutions are chosen that can prioritize the circular economy and ensure adequate wages for all actors in the supply chain.

SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The structure must not only pursue a circular economy model but also develop long-term policies capable of stable work on macroeconomic indicators.

Community involvement and development

The facility must be an active participant in creating the well-being of the entire community, including through the creation of social services and infrastructure that enable everyone to improve their lifestyle, culturally, physically and mentally.

CLEAR AND TRANSPARENT COMMUNICATION

Clarity and transparency about one's level of sustainability are important evaluation criteria in the selection of facilities; it is equally important that procedures are in place to make it easier for customers to comply with standards for safeguarding the planet.

Proper management practices

It is important that training and refresher courses be conducted on the procedures to be followed, and that working time and tools for their implementation be ensured.

Data protection and information security

It is important for the resort to pay close attention to cybersecurity in safeguarding customers' information and personal data in order to ensure maximum protection.
